BEST EASY DIPS FOR SNACKS

The two recipes below are some of the easiest snacks to make. And people love them. Add a couple of crunchy dippers and you’ve got yourself some party food!

INGREDIENTS (Serves 6)

1 (8 oz.) wheel Brie cheese
¼ C. honey
Fresh rosemary
½ C. chopped roasted almonds

DIRECTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Use a sharp knife to trim the thin white rind off the top of the Brie. Place the Brie in an oven-safe ramekin or skillet. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until softened.

Meanwhile, combine the honey and 1 sprig rosemary in a small saucepan over low heat. Once warmed, stir in the roasted almonds.

Spoon the almond mixture over the Brie and garnish with a little rosemary. Serve with toasted bread.

Tip: The cheese loses its “gooeyness” relatively fast so try to time it to come out of the oven right before serving.

SIMPLE CARAMEL APPLE DIP

Put ½ cup chopped pecans in a dry skillet and toast over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Set 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (softened) on a serving tray. Core and slice 4 apples (mix and match your favorites) and put the slices into a bowl; drizzle with a little lemon juice to minimize browning, stir to coat, and then drain. Heat ½ cup caramel sauce in the microwave and drizzle over the cream cheese. Top with the toasted pecans and surround with the apple slices. Serves 8
